Toasted cheese and pickle

Quick, easy & tasty


This light meal or snack is loved by all as it is quick, tasty and economical!


Ingredients - Serves 2 Adults

  • 2 slices of wholegrain bread
  • 50g / 2oz of low-fat cheddar cheese, grated
  • 2 teaspoons soft low-fat margarine
  • 2 teaspoons of pickle

Method

  1. Pre-heat the grill
  2. Toast the bread on one side 
  3. Toast the other side until it crisps but has not turned brown
  4. Mix the grated cheese, margarine and pickle together and spread over the toast
  5. Grill for about 2 minutes until bubbling and starting to brown
 

Serving Suggestions

Serve with a side of salad
