Abstract:

This report looks at perspectives and practices across the food chain on the Island of Ireland with regard to the risk of economically motivated adulteration or ideologically motivated threat. Approaches being taken in a number of other OECD countries were investigated and a cross-country analysis of different initiatives was used to construct a Vulnerability Management Framework. This illustrates strategies for detecting, deterring and preventing economically or ideologically-motivated food product adulteration.
