Statement - Update on beef

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has advised that further tests have confirmed the presence of marker PCBs in a number of beef samples.

19 December, 2008. safefood would like to reassure consumers that Irish beef and beef products are safe to eat. The affected cattle have been identified through industry traceability systems and will not enter the food chain.
