Ants on a log

Suitable for vegetarians

Usually you don’t want ants anywhere near your lunch, but this tasty recipe is the exception!

Ingredients - Serves 2 Adults

  • 2 celery stalks
  • 2 dessert spoons of cream cheese
  • 40g / 1½ oz. of raisins - around 1 small box

Method

  1. Wash the celery stalks under the sink and use a knife to cut off the leafy top part and the whitish bit on the bottom
  2. To prevent any accidents, you may want to ask an adult to help you cut the celery
  3. Pat the stalks dry with a paper kitchen towel
  4. Use a dinner knife to scoop some cream cheese into the hollow part of the celery
  5. Poke as many raisins into the cream cheese as you think you will eat; then chomp away!

Serving Suggestions

Swap the raisins for a different dried fruit like pieces of apricot, cherries, cranberries or currants to keep the kids interested
