Launch of the new Community Food Initiatives Programme 2013-15

The main aim of the programme is to positively influence eating habits of families in a community setting. Nine new community projects from across the island of Ireland have been awarded funding to promote greater access and availability of safe, nutritious food.

The event will also share key learning’s from the previous Demonstration Programme to inform best practice and ensure sustainability of Community Food Initiatives. This will be of particular interest to those running or developing a Community Food Initiative and those committed to tackling food poverty issues on the island of Ireland.
