Date: 18 September, 2013

The 2013 safefood Chemical Residues Knowledge Network Conference will take place in Dublin at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Blanchardstown on 18 September, 2013 in collaboration with the Safe & Healthy Foods project coordinated by Teagasc.

The risks associated with antibiotic usage in food production are a growing global concern, not only due to harmful drug residues in our food, but also the development of antibiotic resistant bacteria in both livestock and humans. This targeted one day conference will have an island of Ireland focus but with input from highly respected international scientific experts, producers, consumers and journalists. There is an opportunity for you to participate through oral presentations, posters, and open discussions of emerging antibiotics issues.

Who should attend?

The conference will be of interest to practitioners, food producers, processors and retailers, public health specialists, environmental health officers, researchers, food safety regulators and policy makers.

Registration

Attendance is free for safefood Knowledge Network members and only £50 for non-members.
